Meet the Author

Erin McLaughlin, writing professionally as E.S. McLaughlin, is a disability advocate, Spanish-language interpreter, and author of faith-based fantasy romance & general romance novels. She is the founder of The Warrior’s Quill, LLC.

Erin was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, and currently lives in Durham, North Carolina, with her father, David, a retired pastor, and her mother, Brenda, a retired banker. Erin was born with a mild form of spastic diplegia, Cerebral Palsy, a movement disorder that makes walking impossible without aid. She has been a wheelchair user since the early 2000s.

After developing an early love of languages and writing as a child, Erin attended North Carolina Central University, where she graduated with a degree in Spanish. But God had other plans, and led her to professional writing in 2022 through The Company, a trade school for Christian authors. As of October 2025, her debut novel, Love’s First Bloom, is being edited for self-publication.
